Top Three Cleaning Supplies For Your Hardwood Floor

Posted

Whether you have old flooring or new, it's always important to use the right products to maintain the finish and cleanliness. Try to sweep, dust, clean or vacuum your hardwood floor at least once a week so dirt doesn't build up.

Avoid cleaning supplies (or supplies similar in nature) that are ammonia-based, wax-based, or any acidic materials (such as vinegar) for your hardwood floor. Also, avoid cleaning supplies that contain bleach, detergents, polishes, oil soaps, or any other abrasive cleaning soaps for your hardwood floor.

The top three cleaning products we enjoy using the most are:

1. London Polish

A unique cleaner and polish that protects and seals. It produces a hard brilliant luster. Removes old wax build-up, conditions and moisturizes fine woods with natural lemon oil. You can use it on all fine woodwork.

2. Polythane for Wood Floors

The non-streaking formulation leaves no build-up of sticky residue while effectively cleaning the toughest dirt and grime. It's specifically designed for varnished wooden floors and is very easy to use.

3. Clean Sweep Sweeping Compound

This sweeping compound is designed for un-waxed floors. Clean Sweep is made from a uniform northern wood fiber compounded with A-1 grade paraffin oil. It's great in quality and performance.
